PROBLEM
In North America, 39% of all food waste comes from the consumer level and this represents 8-10% of greenhouse gas emissions.
Eat This Too is designed for the everyday person that buys groceries for their home and teaches them how to reduce organic waste without having to invest extra time or trips to the supermarket, and eventually, this will reflect on their bank account since they will spend less money because these "scraps" will represent more food.
EARLY SECONDARY RESEARCH AND STAKEHOLDER ECOSYSTEM MAP
INTERVIEWS
We conducted a series of interviews with experts and non-experts on topics such as nutrition and psychology, to fully understand peoples’ relationship with food – grocery shopping and waste.

FINAL PROPOSALS
As a deliverable, we created four products to complement our overall premise – easy ways to combat food waste within the household. Shopping bag which can later be used as a compost container, stickers on fruits and vegetables with recipes of how to use the “scraps”, recipe cards to be given away at farmer’s markets and supermarkets, band-like stickers where people cut and discard to imply that you can eat that too.
